What to do if you're worried a child is being abused

Seek advice: Mrs Ebblewhite is our Designated Safeguarding Lead. She can be contacted on 01902 558375. All child protection concerns should be referred to her.

All our staff agree to a confidentiality policy. Information is only ever shared on a 'need to know' basis.

If Mrs Ebblewhite is unavailable please ask for Mrs Jenkins or the Headteacher.

All referrals will be treated seriously and appropriate action taken.

Referrals can be made directly to Central Referral Hub on 01902 555392

Other issues such as allegations towards staff should be reported directly to the Headteacher.

As staff members of the City of Wolverhampton Council we have both a duty and responsibility to help safeguard a child from harm and abuse, irrespective of where we work and what we do.

You must be aware of the course of action to take in order to assist a child whose safety and welfare is of concern. In such circumstances a child is age defined as being less than 18 years of age.

All staff have access to relevant training in order to be able to recognise indicators of harm and abuse and to know how to respond when concern exists. Action taken should be in accordance with local policies and agreed inter-agency arrangements.

If you have concern… DO NOT DELAY
What harm does the concern relate to?
